Here, we are cleaning the polar axis worm drive assembly. The pipes are part of a lubrication system for the worm and shaft bearings, which will be reinstated.

This image below shows the worm drive assembly, reattached to the polar axis. The worm wheel has 360 teeth, giving a 360:1 reduction ratio.
