WELCOME TO CADSAS

NEXT EVENT: Monday 13th April“Space Art” – a lecture by Greg Smye-Rumsby of Astronomy Now – 8pm at the Cranbrook School Lecture Theatre. (members and accompanied under 16s – free, others – £2 please)

We are an astronomy and science society, based in a purpose-built observatory building at Cranbrook School in Kent.

We usually have an evening talk/lecture meeting on the second Monday of each month (excluding July and August). Check the Events Page for details.

Additionally, we open our Observatory on Friday evenings, if the sky is clear and suitable for observing.

IMPORTANT: Before coming to the Observatory, check the OPEN / CLOSED / MAYBE Status Message at the top of every page of this website. This will avoid wasted trips, when the weather is unsuitable.

New members of all ages and experience are very welcome, so please contact us to find out more.
